New Vauxhall Vivaro Windscreen

This new Vauxhall Vivaro windscreen for a local hire company in Newton Abbot was returned with a giant stone chip around 15cm in diameter late in the afternoon.

After checking with our glass suppliers Laddaw in Exeter, we were informed that they were out of stock(low stocks of glass on all new models initially until they become more popular). With the vehicle due back out for hire at 09:00 the following morning this wasn’t good. An emergency order was placed to our suppliers central distribution centre in Leicestershire for an overnight delivery, a night worker in Exeter then sent us a text around 01:00 to confirm safe delivery of the windscreen. After a 06:30 start the Vauxhall Vivaro windscreen was collected in Exeter and safely installed in the vehicle by 08:00 enabling it to go back out on hire at 09:00.

Luckily our glass supplier Laddaw in Exeter have some extremely helpful staff, from placing a last-minute order for the Vivaro windscreen, shipping the glass from Leicester within around 7 hours to Exeter and the night worker sending a text to confirm safe delivery of the glass. All this meant we were able to complete the windscreen replacement for our local hire company with no interruption to their scheduled hire services.
