Micra Windscreen with Rain Sensor
With two stone chips in the MOT A-Zone, a new windscreen was required on this Nissan Micra.
The Micra windscreen also had a rain sensor (also known as a moisture sensor) which operates the windscreen wipers automatically when it rains. Before starting the windscreen replacement we always check the operation of your rain sensor as they don’t always work. Once we are satisfied the rain sensor is operating correctly we remove the car keys from the ignition and proceed with the work.
After the windscreen has been replaced and the rain sensor repositioned to the inside of the windscreen with a new sensor gel (these are around £10-£20 and often essential), we then re-check the correct operation of the sensor.
