VW T5 Rear Door Leak
This VW T5 rear doorglass leak in Newton Abbot was amongst the worse van conversion I have seen. , the customer had bought the van and realised water was entering the vehicle. When we removed the glass and trims this is what we found.
Whilst anyone can convert a van, this is one of the poorest diy jobs I have seen. All the bare metal has been left exposed which has subsequently rusted. The drill holes are visible and rusting, really the panel should be cut back flush to the inner panel which would then cover the drill holes. On the upright section no effort has been made to cut in a straight line or grinding the panel back flush. On top of this the window was poorly bonded in which caused water to leak inside the van.
