Toyota Celica Replacement Windscreen
This Toyota Celica required a replacement windscreen in Lustleigh, Devon after it cracked from a small stone chip and the pressure of some underlying rust on the aperture. When the aperture rust starts to bubble up it applies pressure to the inside of the windscreen eventually resulting in the glass cracking, especially of the glass already has a chip in it near the edge of the screen.
This windscreen had been changed before and the initial rust damage was probably caused then. If your windscreen is changed and the installer scratches the aperture and doesn’t then apply the correct primer to protect the bare metal, eventually your aperture will rust away causing leaks and at some point the windscreen will crack again.
