Peugeot 406 Windscreen Chip Repair

This Peugeot 406 windscreen chip repair in Totnes was a star break with no real impact hole. This type of windscreen chip can be difficult to repair unless the impact hole is enlarged. Using a glass burr we opened up the chip and then used an impactor to create a small bullseye in the centre of the star break. This method is extremely effective as it allows the windscreen resin to then flow into the cracks for a virtually invisible repair.

The first picture shows the Esprit windscreen repair piston in place over the stone chip. The second picture shows the completed windscreen chip repair after it has been pit filled and polished to produce a glass-like almost perfect finish.
