This brand new 2014 Ford Transit windscreen needed to be replaced after it developed a crack from a stone chip in Newton Abbot.

The new shape fifth generation Transit windscreen has two different heights depending on whether it is a low / mid roof or a high roof van. Just to add to the confusion in the windscreen world with numerous options on heated and rain sensitive windscreens also available…

New 2014 Onwards Ford Transit Windscreen Dimensions:

• The dimensions of the windscreen in the low / mid  roof van are 1066 * 1688 (approx 42″ high)
• The high roof van has a slighter taller windscreen 1183 * 1688 (approx 46.5″ high)

The new Transit and Transit Custom windscreens are exposed around the edge, it is critical that the windscreen is removed professionally with the correct tools to ensure no damage occurs. Also the new windscreen needs to be installed perfectly as any errors will result in the urethane looking unsightly around the edges, our lil buddy lifting machine ensures a perfect fit every time.
