This leaking Transporter T5 windscreen was replaced in Lustleigh. Although it is virtually impossible to get a leaking windscreen on a modern VW or Audi someone had managed it. With the glass sitting low in a narrow aperture most VW windows will not leak unless fitted extremely badly.

Along with the windscreen urethane missing the glass there were several rust marks forming where the aperture had previously been scratched through poor windscreen removal technique and a major spot of rust probably started from bit of bare metal left unprimed.

After extensive cleaning of the aperture and rubbing down the rust we were able to finally install the new Transporter windscreen to Sika guidelines, checking the urethane internally to ensure a perfect fit.
