Although the glass had already shattered we always sheet out the tailgate area to prevent more glass entering the car whilst removing the old glass and urethane. Then we procede to remove the interior trim and any broken glass from the internal boot areas taking care to ensure no broken glass enters the locking system as this often causes the locking mechanisms to jam.
