This Audi A1 door glass was smashed from a break-in after the customer parked near to Buckland-in-the-Moor on Dartmoor.

After leaving the car in a car park whilst walking their dog, the car window was smashed and a handbag stolen along with a mobile phone and bank cards. We were able to obtain a new glass from our suppliers in Exeter overnight and replaced the door glass the following day.

The risk of a car break-in when you leave any valuables in a vehicle is still quite high in remote places. It is far safer to remove any valuables, bags, etc and leave the vehicle as empty as possible – even leaving the glove box open is often a good idea.
